3Cs' 4NCL team at a celebratory dinner after winning the Division 3 Championship in 2003.
Much of the success gained by the club over many years has been achieved with players who have been nurtured through the 3Cs' junior coaching scheme, many of whom have continued to represent 3Cs in competitions locally, nationally and Internationally.
Despite almost 20 years having passed since the event in these photographs, many of the players shown still have a connection with the club, namely Phil Adams, Adam Ashton, Tony Ashton, John Bentley, Stuart Clarke, Stephen Gordon, Alex Longson and Alan Walton.

Photos of matches played by 3Cs 2 and 3Cs 3 at the 4NCL (Four Nations Chess League).
Left .... Kevin Ye, who produced the best individual result of the weekend by defeating an opponent more than 300 rating points above him.
Centre .... If you're good enough then age is irrelevant ! The 3Cs' youth policy is highlighted with Seny Denisov, George Harman and Peter McGee all facing much older opposition.
Right .... The Master and his pupils ! Phil Adams (centre) plays alongside Mitchell Burke (nearest camera) and Cory Hazlehurst, both of whom are products of the 3Cs' youth system.
