The link below is to a video which shows former chess World Champion Gary Kasparov whilst in Iceland visiting the grave of a previous holder of the title, Bobby Fisher.

Iceland hosted probably the most famous chess match in history when Fischer won the title by defeating the then champion Boris Spassky while it was Iceland where Fischer then spent the later years of his life.

 

The 2021 series of "Spain's Got Talent" saw a masked chess player reach the final where, to his surprise, he was paired against former world champion Anatoly Karpov.

A few weeks after winning the chess world championship 1972, Bobby Fischer appeared on American television's "Johnny Carson Show" and displayed another talent for being the quickest to solve the "15 puzzle" (as shown on the left) and which can be seen via the following link ...


The puzzle being to place all the numbers 1-15 in the correct order and  with Bobby's attempt shown at exactly 12 minutes into the video.
